Build AI is Rooman's track for people who want to build AI systems as engineers. It has three tiers taken in order: AI Foundation (120 hours online), AI Professional (240 hours online, in one of five specialisations) and AI Expert (360 hours in person in Bengaluru). Together they take about six months, and AI Expert ends with a capstone inside a real Rooman product team.
How Build AI works
Three tiers. Each builds on the last.
Build AI is Rooman's engineer pipeline: the path from fresh graduate to pod-ready AI engineer. The tiers are sequential by design, and each one is the prerequisite for the next.

What is Build AI?
Build AI is Rooman's track for people who want to build AI systems as engineers. It has three tiers taken in order: AI Foundation (120 hours), AI Professional (240 hours) and AI Expert (360 hours, in person in Bengaluru).
Who is Build AI for?
Engineering and science graduates, final-year students and career switchers with technical work experience who want to become AI engineers. You do not need to know how to code to start: AI Foundation teaches Python from zero.
Where do I start?
AI for ALL, Rooman's 20-hour foundation course, is recommended first. Then take AI Foundation. You can skip to AI Professional only by passing the AI Foundation challenge exam.
How long does it take?
720 hours over about six months: AI Foundation takes 1 month, AI Professional 2 months and AI Expert 3 months.
Is it online or in person?
AI Foundation and AI Professional are online, with live cohort sessions; ask a counsellor about classroom batches. AI Expert is an in-person residency on Rooman's Bengaluru campus, about 6 hours a day.
Do I have to take all three tiers?
No. You can stop after any tier and pay only for the next one when you are ready. Each tier is a prerequisite for the next.
What is the integrated programme?
All three tiers taken together as one six-month programme, with a stipend during the AI Expert capstone. Admission is selection-based, and EMI options and education-loan partners are available.
How do I get into AI Expert?
Complete AI Professional, then apply: a portfolio review, a 45-minute technical interview and a 30-minute behavioural interview.
What happens after AI Expert?
The final module includes a placement match to one of three pathways: a Rooman GCC pod serving international clients, the StartupVarsity Founders' Track, or Rooman's hiring partners.
Which certificates will I receive?
The Rooman AI Foundation Certificate, the Rooman AI Professional Certificate stamped with your specialisation, and the Rooman AI Engineer Certificate for AI Expert.
