Who is this course for?
The course is for engineering and science graduates and final-year students, and for career switchers with a year or more of technical work in any role. You do not need to know how to code: Phase 1 starts Python from zero. It prepares you for AI Professional, Tier 2 of Build AI, or for entry-level AI engineering roles.
Do I need prior coding experience?
No. Phase 1 starts with Python from zero, and by the end of it you build your first AI agent.
Do I need to take AI for ALL first?
It is recommended, not required. AI for ALL is Rooman's 20-hour, 9-module foundation course. You can also join with an engineering or science degree, or a year of technical work experience.
How much time does it take?
120 hours over 1 month (30 days), about 30 hours a week.
Is it online or in person?
Online, with live cohort sessions that are recorded for review. Ask a counsellor about classroom batches. AI Expert, Tier 3, is taught only in person, in Bengaluru.
What will I build?
5 or more projects, including an AI agent app, a full-stack web app and a cloud-deployed AI tool, and a capstone that brings them together in one deployed AI-powered app.
What is the capstone?
Build a full-stack AI-powered app that brings together your agent, front end, database and cloud deployment, then demo it and review your portfolio.
Is AI Foundation enough to get an AI engineering job?
It prepares you for junior roles such as Junior AI Engineer, AI Application Developer or Python Developer. For mid-level and pod-ready roles, go on to AI Professional (Tier 2) and AI Expert (Tier 3).
Can I skip ahead to AI Professional?
Only if you pass the challenge exam in Python and AI fundamentals. Most learners benefit from completing AI Foundation first.
What comes after AI Foundation?
AI Professional, Tier 2 of Build AI: 240 hours in one of five specialisation tracks. After that comes AI Expert, a 360-hour in-person residency in Bengaluru.
Does the course include placement support?
Yes: résumé, LinkedIn and interview preparation, and introductions to Rooman hiring partners. It is not one of Rooman's job-guaranteed programmes.
Which certificate will I receive?
The Rooman AI Foundation Certificate, with your project portfolio.
Can I take all three tiers together?
Yes. AI Foundation, AI Professional and AI Expert can be taken together as an integrated six-month programme, which includes a stipend during the AI Expert capstone. Admission to it is selection-based, and a counsellor can explain the options.
