Founded in 1999 in Bengaluru with the slogan “We bring Technology to India.” 27 years later, we bring India’s tech talent — 1.3 million engineers and counting — to the world. Staffing, captive GCC teams, AI products. Headquartered in Bengaluru. Hubs in Dubai and Singapore.
From one training centre in Bengaluru in 1999 to a global AI workforce & GCC-as-a-Service partner in 2026 — staffing organisations across 13 markets and running captive engineering hubs in Bengaluru, Dubai and Singapore. This is how we got here.
In 1999, a group of technology enthusiasts founded Rooman Technologies to create a training centre of excellence in Bengaluru. We started with the best trainers we could find and one mission: training that provides employability, instils confidence and delivers a certification that lasts for years.
1999
Rooman launched with the slogan “We bring Technology to India.” The startup culture didn’t exist yet; entrepreneurship was not yet cool.
2000
First in India to offer CCNA on real Cisco routers — not simulators. Set a new standard for hands-on training.
2001
Trained the first batch of Indian cyber-cops with Check Point, ISS and Trend Micro. India’s first Cyber Crime Police Station launched in Bengaluru.
2002
Trained 900 employees of the Karnataka Revenue Department for the Bhoomi Project.
2003–08
Grew to 200+ franchise centres including Canada, Sri Lanka, Bahrain and Dubai.
2008
Founded SupportDesk (ITSD). Took over IT maintenance of 1,400 Karnataka Police stations.
2009
Signed an MoU with Kuvempu University for BSc-IT and MSc-IT (IT-IMS) — first such programme in India.
2010
Became Wipro’s manpower outsourcing partner. Set up CET Counselling & Monitoring Cell for Karnataka.
2011
Connected 900 CSC centres of the Karnataka Revenue Department. Maintained for 5 years.
2012
Joined NSDC’s mission to skill 500 million Indian youth. Started training across 12 sectors.
2013
Signed an MoU with NSDC for MHA’s J&K skilling project. Trained and placed 5,000 J&K youth.
2014–16
Aligned mission with India’s national ambition to become the Skill Capital of the World.
2017
Expanded to state-of-the-art facilities across 300+ cities in India.
2018
Acquired an IoT/AI startup (Best Startup of the Year 2016 and 2017). Entered the IoT and AI products business.
2019–25
All business verticals established. SMART City work accelerated. Shipped our first AI products.
2026 →
Repositioning as a global AI workforce & GCC-as-a-Service partner. New delivery hubs in Dubai and Singapore. Online training in your time zone and local currency across 9 international markets. “Staff. Train. Build. Transform.” becomes the operating model.

Chief Executive Officer
Manish has led Rooman since its founding in 1999. Under his leadership, Rooman has grown from a single Bengaluru training centre into a global organisation that has trained 1.3M+ engineers, delivered 4 of India’s 100 Smart Cities, set up GCC delivery hubs in Bengaluru, Dubai and Singapore, and now has four AI products in production. He is the architect of Rooman 2.0 — the company’s global expansion as a Staffing & GCC-as-a-Service partner.
