The course is for IT and security professionals moving into ethical hacking and penetration testing. EC-Council recommends at least two years of IT security experience; candidates who take official EC-Council training can sit the exam without the experience requirement.

Capstone
Test a network, with permission. Then write it up.
Your final lab is a full ethical hacking engagement on an isolated lab network: reconnaissance, scanning, exploitation and a written report of what you found and how to fix it.

Your credential
Rooman Certificate.
The Rooman Certificate, then EC-Council's CEH. You earn the Rooman Certificate when you complete the course, and the CEH when you pass EC-Council's exam 312-50.
The CEH exam has 125 multiple-choice questions in four hours. CEH is valid for three years, kept current with EC-Council continuing-education credits.

What is the exam like?
125 multiple-choice questions in four hours. EC-Council also offers an optional six-hour practical exam; passing both earns CEH Master.
Am I eligible for the exam?
EC-Council accepts candidates who take official EC-Council training, or who have two years of information security experience and an approved eligibility application. A counsellor will explain the route for you.
