Who is this course for?
The course is for language students, English students and freelance translators who work in at least two languages. It suits multilingual BA students, future in-house localisation professionals, and aspiring subtitlers and dubbing professionals.
What do I need before I start?
You need working proficiency in at least two languages, and you need to have completed AI for ALL, Rooman's 20-hour foundation course. The Humanities Foundation is not required.
Will AI replace translators?
The course treats AI output as a first draft. You learn the work humans must add: post-editing, quality checks and cultural adaptation.
Do I need to know MemoQ or Trados already?
No. Module 3 introduces MemoQ, Trados and modern CAT tools, along with translation memory.
Will the course help me find freelance work?
Module 7 covers rates, contracts, platforms and finding clients. It does not promise work; building a client base is up to you.
How much time does it take?
30 hours over 6 weeks, combining self-paced lessons with one live cohort session each week.
Is it online or classroom?
It is taught online, with self-paced lessons and a weekly live cohort session, so it fits around college or work. Ask a counsellor about classroom batches.
Will I get hands-on with real tools?
Yes. Every tool listed on this page is used hands-on in cohort labs.
What is the capstone?
Complete a real localisation project, with a Rooman-partner client where possible. Deliver the translated and localised content with quality documentation.

Is this course AICTE or UGC approved?
It is a skill course from Rooman, not a UGC-approved degree. You receive the Rooman Campus AI Certificate and a completion record.

Rooman's partner colleges may count it as a skill credit. Check with your college's placement officer.
Does the course include placement support?
Yes: a résumé and LinkedIn workshop, and help with internship matching. It is not one of Rooman's job-guaranteed programmes.
