The Atalji Janasnehi Directorate runs the Kendras where citizens of Karnataka go for government services in person. Standing up 777 of them is a logistics problem before it is a technology one: every centre needs the same kit, the same connection and the same working state, and a centre that is not ready is a queue of people who cannot be served.

The rollout outpaced the MNC competitors by months, at 60% lower cost, and the centres have been under Rooman maintenance for more than five years since.

It is one of the two deployments Rooman cites as its infrastructure track record, alongside the 1,400 Karnataka Police stations — and it is the example it gives for saving 20-40% on delivery cost against a traditional MNC.
