Rooman's AI for Agriculture & AgriTech is a 35-hour, 7-week online course for BSc Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry and Environmental Science students. You learn satellite imagery, precision farming, market intelligence, agri supply chains, weather data, ONDC and government agritech programmes, then design an AI-augmented solution in a capstone and earn the Rooman Campus AI Certificate.

Indian agriculture is going digital through satellite imagery, IoT, precision farming, supply chain digitisation and government initiatives. This course gives agriculture and environmental science students the AI and data skills for work with agritech startups, farmer producer organisations (FPOs) and government programmes.

The modules follow a crop from field monitoring to markets, supply chains and policy, and end with a solution proposal for a real agri problem.

02Satellite imagery for agriculture5 hrs

Read crop health with Sentinel and Landsat imagery, NDVI and basic GIS workflows.

Who is this course for?

Which AI course should a BSc Agriculture student take?

Start with AI for ALL, then take AI for Agriculture & AgriTech. It covers satellite imagery, precision farming, mandi price analysis, agri supply chains, weather data, ONDC and government agritech programmes.

Is this for college students only?

Mostly, yes. Recent graduates and career-switchers are welcome too.

What do I need before I start?

You need to have completed AI for ALL. An agriculture background is helpful but not required, and you do not need the Sciences Foundation.

Do I need to know coding?

No. Python is covered at an introductory level, and the only course you need first is AI for ALL.

Does it cover government schemes?

Yes. One module covers PM-KISAN, eNAM, RKVY and NMSA, and where these programmes create opportunities for agritech work.

How much time does it take?

35 hours over 7 weeks, combining self-paced lessons with one live cohort session each week.

Is it online or classroom?

It is taught online, with self-paced lessons and a weekly live cohort session, so it fits around college or work. Ask a counsellor about classroom batches.

Will I get hands-on with real tools?

Yes. Every tool listed on this page is used hands-on in cohort labs.

What is the capstone?

Pick a real agri-domain problem, such as yield prediction, crop monitoring or market intelligence, and design an AI-augmented solution proposal.

What can I do after this course?

You can go further with AI for Environmental Science & ESG or Data Analytics & AI Foundations. If you want to start an agritech venture, Startup & Freelancing with AI is another option.

Is this course AICTE or UGC approved?

It is a skill course from Rooman, not a UGC-approved degree. You receive the Rooman Campus AI Certificate and a completion record.

Will my college recognise this?

Rooman's partner colleges may count it as a skill credit. Check with your college's placement officer.

Does the course include placement support?

Yes: a résumé and LinkedIn workshop, and help with internship matching. It is not one of Rooman's job-guaranteed programmes.

Which certificate will I receive?

The Rooman Campus AI Certificate, with a record of the course you completed.
